Why Used Books are Better than New Books
Whenever I read any book I'm in constant dialouge with myself and the author. I also underline, write in the margins, and plaster sticky notes on important pages. Over break I picked up the Cultural Creatives - - (neat book - I like it - watch for some quotes in the very near future!!) But the really cool thing is that the person who owned it before me highlighted and wrote thoughts in the margins - - so there are three peoples ideas (mine, hers, the authors) all floating together - - it's almost like a discussion (and she has some great points to make!) (Used books are also cheaper than new books!!)
